RCMP continue to investigate two convenience store holdups Sunday…but don’t believe they are connected.
The first was around 3:30 in the afternoon at the Shopping Basket on Humphrey Street where a lone man got some cash and fled. The second was around 7:00 in the evening at Handi’s Convenince on Second Avenue. Again, a lone man came in got some cash and fled.
RCMP haven’t revealed what type of weapon was used to threaten the clerks. Nobody was hurt. They say there’s nothing to indicate the robberies are related…descriptions were different.
