Man arrested after B&E in Dartmouth

Police have a man in custody following break and enter in Dartmouth this morning.

At 12:30 this morning, Police were on general patrol and noted a man acting suspiciously on a pathway near Charlottetown Way. Officers stopped and spoke with the man who was carrying a whipper snipper, saw kit, grinder sander kit and work gloves. The man was put under arrest for possession of stolen property and was taken into custody without incident.

Through the course of the investigation it was determined that the recovered items were taken from a residence in the area. Patrol members later located the owner of these items on Bowser Avenue.

47-year-old Drew Anton Carter has been charged with one count of break and enter and was in Dartmouth Provincial Court today.
