U-S Vice-President Joe Biden was in Ottawa for a state dinner in his honour last night. In his speech, he said Prime Minister Trudeau will be needed to help shepherd the world through a period of deep uncertainty. Biden didn’t mention Donald Trump by name, but he referred to the uncertainty about the future, not only the U-S but Europe as well as Britain leaves the European Union. He said the world needs leaders like Trudeau and Germany’s Angela Merkel to step up.
