Quispamsis to borrow money for roads

Quispamsis Town Council is looking at raising the tax rate by a penny, according to the Telegraph-Journal.

After slashing $850,000 from the proposed budget at its first meeting on the budget last week, the councillors have now voted to borrow $750,000 to pay for new roadwork. Staff is recommending a $1.68 million road resurfacing program for parts of 14 roads as well as the Qplex parking lot.
