Ottawa is trying to control several chemicals used in making fentanyl to try to curb the growth in overdose deaths from the opiate.
Health Minister Jane Philpott said regulating some of the chemicals is one of a number of steps to try to gain better control. RCMP announced last week it had an agreement with China to try to stop the flow of fentanyl.
