RCMP say they are responding to an average of 10 domestic violence complaints each day.
Statistics released by the force suggest officers responded to almost 2,000 reports of domestic violence so far this year…and Superintendent Rick Shaw says that may just be the tip of the iceberg. Shaw says a victim might have experienced violence numerous times before police got involved, and many cases are never reported.
