Much of the Maritimes is seeing its first winter storm of the season today, with some areas of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick expecting up to 15cm of snow and high winds. There have been a number of power outages reported across the province. In Nova Scotia, two outages in the Sydney-Glace Bay area have knocked out power for roughly 1,700 customers. Smaller outages are also affecting a small number of homes in West Brooklyn, Hants County and the community of Waterloo southwest of Bridgewater.
