A jury will begin deliberations today in the criminal negligence trial of Jean-Claude Savoie in Campbellton in the deaths of brothers Connor and Noah Barthe, according to the Tribune.
In his closing arguments, the defence lawyer said his client’s failure to cover a ventilation pipe above the snake’s enclosure was not careless or reckless…he simply didn’t believe the snake could fit through it.
