The National Farmers Union in New Brunswick has released an opinion piece saying support for new farmers must include daycare.
Low-income New Brunswickers have a daycare subsidy, but farm families don’t qualify because they’re self-employed. N-F-U Members met with the province about this in the summer and were told they could be involved with consultations, but they are still waiting for details.
