A tentative settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit filed after cancer patients were given diluted chemotherapy drugs.
Two lawfirms sued after it was discovered over 1,100 patients were given chemo solutions prepared by Marchese Health Care that contained lower-than-intended doses. Most of them were in Ontario but there were also some patients in Saint John.
Lawyer Sharon Strosberg says those covered by the class action should receive $1,500 each after legal fees and expenses if a judge approves the settlement in January.
