Where they will be parading is still up in the air.
Kentville drew up a proposal for the Apple Blossom Festival’s Board of Directors to keep the parade in Kentville this year, but the festival board hasn’t agreed to it yet.
Festival interim president Alxys Chamberlain told CBC yesterday the board was still reviewing it.
She said they decided to change the parade route to New Minas because of difficulties in securing police and recreation staff in Kentville, which surprised Mayor Sandra Snow.
She said the town supplies police for the parade and everybody in the works and recreation departments work on parade day.
