A police officer in the Kennebecasis Valley has been recognized for bravery.
Constable Corey McAllister freed a man from a burning car last month just before it burst into flames. He’s bgeen given the Board of Police Commissioners top award, the gold commendation, according to the Telegraph-Journal.
Constable McAllister arrived at the accident scene on Highway 1 after a jeep crashed into a concrete column and caught fire. He used his pocket knife to cut the victim free from his seat belt and air bags and got him him out just before the whole SUV was engulfed in a flames.
