A juvenile Beluga Whale rescued from a river in New Brunswick earlier this week may have rejoined a pod of Beluga’s. The Group for Research and Education on Marine Mammals says the young male beluga released into a St. Lawerence River Estuary is swimming in area where a pod of Beluga’s regularly travel. It’s still unclear if the young whale has actually rejoined the group or not. The young Beluga was found trapped in New Brunswick’s Nepisiguit River before being rescued and relocated on Thursday.
