The case of five universities against the NSTU is on in court. Acadia, Cape Breton, Mount Saint Vincent, StFX and Sainte-Anne filed against the teachers union because work-to-rule is freezing out education students. Their practicums are affected and they might not graduate, with the schools saying this is a violation of the Education Act.

Meeting about possible New Waterford youth club Monday night
David Wilton wants New Waterford to have a youth club. The Cape Breton Centre MLA and District 11 Councillor Kendra Coombes are hosting a meeting Monday night at 7 at the Legion. It’ll also go over other plans for an addition to New Waterford rink, which would be a community centre.
