Injured Man Airlifted from Thin Ice near Musquodobit
A man had to be rescued while ice-fishing near Musquodobit Harbour on Friday. The man in his late 20’s suffered a back injury while trying to drill through the ice near Smith’s Settlement. He was on ice that was too thin for first responders and their equipment to operate on so a helicopter from the department of Natural Resources was called in to airlift the man to hospital.
