An arrest warrant has been issued for a Point Aconi man after he failed to show up for his trial on weapon charges.
48 year old John William MacNeil was due to go to trial yesterday in connection with the shooting of a neighbour in the leg in August of 2014.
The search will continue today for a boater missing since yesterday evening.
Police say they were called to Mira Ferry Lane in Albert Bridge just after 7:00 to the report of a person falling out of a small fishing boat. They found the boat but not the person. Water Rescue Units are assisting with the search.
