17 fire departments around Cape Breton are getting money from the province to buy new safety gear for their fire fighters.
77 emergency service providers will get new gear thanks to grants from the province to cover half the cost up to a maximum of $20,000. That will go to buying what’s called bunker gear, protective clothing; self-contained breathing apparatuses, and rescue tools.
