The province won’t appoint a mediator in its dispute with teachers. The union asked for it, but Labour and Advanced Education Minister Kelly Regan says she’ll revisit the decision if things change. Teachers could still strike as of December 3rd.

NDP whistleblower bill gains Liberal support
An NDP bill to expand protection for public sector workers who speak out about wrongdoing in the workplace has gained support from the McNeil government.
Bill 60 expands on the previous NDP government’s Public Interest Disclosure of Wrongdoing Act, and includes government agencies, boards, and commissions – including teachers and nurses.
