Honours for Cape Breton paramedics

Five Cape Breton Paramedics have been honoured with the Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Services Medal.

Brian MacDonald, James Hogan; and Jason MacDonald, of Sydney; along with Charles MacDonald of Inverness and Craig Morrison of Glace Bay received the medals from Lt. Governor J.J. Grant this week.  15 other paramedics around the province also received medals for their skill and dedication as health care professionals attending to the medical needs of Nova Scotians.

An alleged New Glasgow “Peeping Tom”

A doctor has been charged with voyeurism at a medical clinic in New Glasgow.

41 year old Doctor Rafid al-Nassar, who fled Iraq a decade ago; was arrested after a complaint from clinic staff at the Westside Medical Centre.

Police seized electronics and identified people in the videos shot in a washroom, which was not open to the public.

He was nabbed on Tuesday and the College of Physicians and Surgeons suepnded his license yesterday.
