Those say the responsibility of safety and well-being can’t be transferred or delegated to a non-teaching staff member. The union has advised members to refuse, as is their right.

Memo sent to teachers reminding of necessary duties ahead of job action
Education Minister Karen Casey has sent a memo to teachers ahead of Monday’s job action. It says things like keeping attendance and reporting absences has to happen still under the Education Act. The union had that among things that would be scaled back as teachers do the minimum required in their contract.
