Recommendations for the province’s Workplace Safety Strategy are being shared with stakeholders today. Occupational health and safety officers are working with healthcare workers to raise awareness about strain, sprain and inflammation injury prevention. Officers visited 36 facilities across the province between March and July, to promote general safety compliance and awareness while identifying areas for improvement.

All appears fine in St. Marys Bay after full testing comes back: DFO
DFO says all testing is in for the St. Marys Bay fish kill, and everything appears fine. There was nothing odd found in the sea life itself, nor were any human causes found. Fish in the bay are said to be safe to eat.
