Adair pitches in for flood relief

Larry Adair of Sussex, who owns Adair’s Wilderness Lodge; recently drove a truck from Moncton to Ottawa to help with flood relief.

It was a large semi-trailer truck with construction supplies.

When it is time for the truck to return to Moncton, Adair will head off to Ottawa to do so.

Sussex salon situation

Jackie McBride, the owner of La Bella Si; told Sussex council her Queen Street salon is at a disadvantage because of a lack of parking.

She was recently turned down regarding her request to move into a residential area on Cedar Avenue.

McBride says there are only a few parking spaces on Queen for a number of businesses.

Mayor Marc Thorne says Sussex will work on finding a solution that would allow her to stay at the Queen Street location.
