Fred Harrison and Kathy Hooper of Kings County have gotten together to create Mr. Martin, a children’s book about a man with a passion for painting.

Harrison illustrated it, while Hooper did the writing.

Harrison is one of the people who painted the murals that made Sussex the Mural Capital of Canada.

You can get the book at Hooper Studios, the General Store in Sussex; and the New Brunswick Museum.

The first annual “Ellen’s Tour of Sussex” cycling event had over 200 take part.

That was in memory of Ellen Watters, who passed away in last December after being struck by a vehicle on a Sussex area road.

New Brunswick has now passed “Ellen’s Law,” in which a driver must give cyclists at least 1 meter of distance when passing.
