Down East Window and Door in Sussex will be closing for good on Friday June 30th.

Until then, they are having store-wide sales on paint, plumbing and electrical items; door hardware, and more.

The Kent Hills wind farm in Albert County will be expanded.

TransAlta will build five new wind turbines to add to the 50 already on the site. They will add another 17 megawatts of generating capacity to the company’s wind farm. The new turbines are to make up for a lower-than-expected amount of energy produced by the wind farm so far.

NB Power’s Marc Belliveau said the lower than expected energy production can be attributed to a nationwide overestimating of wind capacity.
