It’s become a seller’s market for houses in Saint John. A report by Royal Lepage says the aggregate price of a house in Saint John soared by more than 13% in the last quarter of last year to $203,405. Lepage says the market appears to be balancing out after being considered a buyer’s market with small price increases for years.

J.D. Irving Hiring Thousands
J-D Irving Ltd. is planning to hire over 8,600 new employees in the Maritimes in the next three years….mainly in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. The company issued a statement saying most of the job opportunities will come in the manufacturing, shipping, shipbuilding, engineering and retail sections. Job openings are being created by retirements and normal turnover in the workforce.
