The province hosted a series of voluntary training sessions for government employees this week to raise awareness within the civil service about First Nations issues.  The training is available to government employees at all levels, with these particular sessions focusing on those who engage directly in the duty-to-consult process.

The provincial legislature will reconvene on Tuesday after a month off.  The third session will focus on creating jobs and strengthening the economy.  Legislation expected to be introduced includes changes to the Motor Vehicle Act to improve the safety of cyclists, as well as legislation on animal cruelty and health issues.
