A new cabinet committee on climate change has been created to oversee implementation of the province’s climate change action plan. Premier Brian Gallant will chair it, while Environment and Local Government Minister Serge Rousselle will be vice-chair. Donald Arseneault, Victor Boudreau, Rick Doucet, Lisa Harris, Roger Melanson and Cathy Rogers are the other ministers to be part of the committee.

Police Looking for Person of Interest in Lincoln Homicide
The RCMP New Brunswick’s Major Crime Unit is now investigating a shooting in Lincoln as a homicide and seeking a second person of interest Police are still attempting to locate 30-year-old Evan Polchies of the Kingsclear First Nation. The vehicle Polchies was suspected to have been driving was discovered last evening on the Kingsclear First Nation and has been seized as part of the ongoing investigation. Polchies is described as Aboriginal with black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 6’1”, weighs approximately 230 lbs (a previous news release did not have his most recent known weight), and has numerous tattoos. It is believed that Polchies has a firearm and the public are cautioned not to approach him. Anyone who sees Polchies or knows his whereabouts is asked to call 911. Police are now also looking for a woman, 23-year-old Joe-Anna Hachey of Fredericton, as a person of interest. It is believed she may be with Polchies. Joe-Anna Hachey is described as Caucasian, 5′ 2″, slim with brown hair and blue eyes.
