Common councillor Donna Reardon is proposing a possible bylaw to regulate seasonal vehicle shelters. The Telegraph-Journal reports she’ll do it at today’s meeting, having been the recipient of several complaints. People are apparently annoyed with some of the usually canvas or plastic shelters being left up beyond winter, as they can suffer damage and be an eyesore.

Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Saint John
A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Saint John on Saturday night. Police tell the Telegraph Journal that the 59-year-old man was not in a marked crosswalk when he was trying to cross Loch Lomond Road near Hickey Road around 6:15pm. The man suffered a head injury, two broken legs and a broken arm. Police are investigating the incident but say neither speed nor alcohol appear to have been factors.
