Saint John Police say one man was arrested after fleeing the scene of an accident on Saturday afternoon. The 34-year-old man allegedly lost control of his vehicle on the harbour bridge and struck the guardrail before fleeing on foot. Witnesses helped identify that man and he was arrested a short time later and has since been charged with driving without insurance, driving while prohibited and fleeing the scene of an accident. The incident tied up traffic on the bridge for about half an hour while the wreckage was removed.

Cherry Brook Zoo Starts Online Campaign
The Cherry Brook Zoo is hoping online donations will help keep the animal park open. Saint John City Council recently cut the amount of funding the zoo receives by about 40-thousand-dollars. That prompted the Zoo to start a GoFundMe page with the aim of raising 50-thousand-dollars to ensure the Zoo’s future.
