Highway washout leading to Fundy national Park

Provincial crews are scrambling to repair a washed out road south of Riverview, according to the Times and Transcript.

A section of Route 114 to Fundy National Park washed out where Stoney Creek passes under the highway. The Transportation Department is blaming it on high tides, snow melt and precipitation. The culvert under the road there was due for replacement this year.

The department is still assessing the damage and looking at options for a temporary fix to get the highway open again.
