River Watch was watching ice jams on four rivers over the weekend…the Kennebecasis River between Bloomfield and Apohaqui, the Hammond River between Smithtown and French Village, the St. John River below Florenceville/Bristol the Tobique River north of Plaster Rock.

Accident closed Highway 7
Highway 7 was closed for several hours early yesterday near the Welsford bypass after an accident involving a tractor trailer.
Nobody was seriously injured but there was significant damage when the truck ended up on top of the median. Crews came in to cleanup various liquis that spilled onto the highway.
