An Ontario man, originally from Kazakhstan, has been arrested in connection with the U-S investigation into a massive cyber attack against Yahoo three years ago.
22 year-old Karim Baratov was arrested outside Hamilton at the request of American officials. He’s accused of being one of the hackers involved in the security breach, along with two Russian intelligence officers.
500 million user accounts belonging to American government officials, Russian journalists opposed to Vladimir Putin, and ordinary email users were affected.
