A Saskatchewan woman has been charged with smuggling refugees across the border from the U-S.
The 43 year old woman is facing human smuggling charges after she was stopped on the Canadian side of the border with 9 refugee claimants after her vehicle crossed over from North Dakota. Police searched a house in Regina the next day and seized a large amount of cash.
The Capitals held off the Leafs 5-4 to tie their series at two games apiece. The Flames are out of the playoffs after losing 3-1 to Anaheim. The Senators shut down the Bruins 1-0 to take a three game to one lead. The Wild staved off elimination by beating the Blues 2-0.
In baseball…the Blue Jays blanked the Red Sox 3-0. Yankees pounded the White Sox 9-1.
In the NBL…the Storm beat the Riptide 104 to 92 at Harbour Station.
