The province’s Environmental Trust Fund will invest $368,550 in 10 Saint John-area projects. They include the city getting $25,000 for a neighborhood planning program, and the Stonehammer Geopark getting $13,000 for earth science literacy programming for high schools.

NB Power will participate in a three-day public hearing for the Point Lepreau licence renewal. The current one expires in June and the utility applied for another five-year licence for the nuclear generating station. Part one of the hearing took place in Ottawa in January, with part two starting tomorrow at the Delta Brunswick Hotel in Saint John.
