No charges in cyclist’s death

No charges will be laid in the death of cyclist Ellen Watters near Sussex in December. RCMP say their investigation determined there was not sufficient evidence to support any charges.

The legislature just passed Ellen’s Law which will go into effect in June requiring drivers to leave at least one metre of space when passing a bicycle on a road.

Flood waters still high

EMO continues to watch the water levels along the St. John River, saying they should remain high for the rest of the week.

Environment Canada is forecasting an average of 10mm each day for the rest of the week so people living along rivers and streams should remain vigilant. Waters can rise very quickly.
