Saint John Police Looking for Diamond Ring

Saint John Police are asking the public to help locate a diamond ring that was stolen last month. The 3.66 karat diamond ring worth roughly $26-thousand-dollars was stolen during a robbery at a home on Ellerdale Street between October 11 and October 18th. Two people have been charged with crime but the ring has not been recovered. Police say it has great sentimental value to it’s owner. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Saint John Police or Crime Stoppers.

President Problems

The president of the Progressive Conservative Party of New Brunswick is stepping down after a problem-plagued leadership convention last month. Jason Stephen served as president of the party for five years. The party elected Blaine Higgs as its leader on October 22nd, replacing former premier David Alward. The party’s provincial council will determine who will fill the president’s role until the party’s annual general meeting next spring.
