There’s been another bank holdup.
A masked man with a gun walked into the Scotiabank on Main Street North around 11:30 yesterday morning. He got some cash and fled. Nobody was hurt.
That was the sixth bank robbery in Saint John this year…and the second this month. There were only two bank robberies in all last year.
A former Saint John broadcaster has passed away.
Mark Lee Kliffer was an announcer and program director of our stations here for many years. He was also a concert promoter and active in different charities. He passed away suddenly on the weekend at his residence. He had just celebrated his 69th birthday last week.
The funeral service for Mark will be held at Brennan’s Funeral home on Paradise Row Thursday with visitation tomorrow.
