A Young moose that fell through the ice was rescued by firefighters in Shediac Saturday.
Half a dozen volunteer firefighters arrived on the scene to rescue the moose from the Shediac River. They used axes to chop up the ice and open a path through the ice to shore. The young moose then clambered ashore and took off into the woods.
Three young men in Fredericton face charges related to a home invasion.
Police say three masked men entered a home in Fredericton late last week and threatened residents with a weapon. They say the men fled with some items and no one was injured. Police arrested three suspects who will appear in court this week to face a robbery charges and the investigation continues.
