A house has been destroyed by fire in Damascus near Hammond.
No one was home when it broke out on Damascus Road yesterday afternoon around 3:00. A firefighter required medical attention because of an elevated heart rate. A dog and two cats were killed.
MoneySense magazine says the best place to live in Atlantic Canada is Quispamsis. High average incomes and low average housing costs were cited, being around $100,000 and $300,000 respectively. Quispamsis was also named the best Atlantic Canadian place to raise children.
But some are questioning the survey saying no community in Atlantic Canada, not even Quispamsis, ranked in the top 100 communities in Canada.
