Kids “N” Kops in Miramichi

This year’s Kids “N” Kops week in Miramichi will be held from this Sunday til Friday August 4th, from 9am until noon each day.

Monday and Tuesday activities will be at police headquarters.

Tours of the fire department and the court house will be on Wednesday and Thursday.

On Friday, the kids will join officers in their police cruisers where they will get to use the lights and sirens while the officers drive through a “closed” course of activities at the JMH parking lot on Henderson Street.

Miramichi Tourism numbers

So far, the Miramichi Tourism Centre has had over 700 visitors this summer.

Monique Mills, the executive director of the Miramichi Tourism Association; told The Leader it’s really gone up over the last few weeks with the Canada Day festivities and all the activities that have been going on.

Four events are coming up soon, the Miramichi Scottish Festival; the Lumberjack Competition in Boiestown, the Acadian Days Festival and the Miramichi Folksong Festival.
