RCMP are investigating apparent arsons yesterday in Cole Harbour and near Lunenburg.
Police say a vehicle parked behind a Mill Cove residence was destroyed just after midnight, and a new building at a Cole Harbour sports field was set on fire early that morning.
A pedestrian was killed by a CN train downtown yesterday afternoon at the crossing on Robinson Street…just metres from where a man in a wheelchair was killed by a train in July.
RCMP cordoned off the area and took witness statements. The warning bells, lights and barrier arm were all apparently working properly at the time.
