Gamers across the Maritimes will unite on Saturday for Extra Life, in support of the IWK Health Centre in Halifax. The 24-hour marathon lets gamers play video, board, sports, whatever they want, while raising money. Participants could also win a trip to Orlando for Extra Life United 2017. Woman charged in Sackville gas station robbery
Police have charged 50-year-old Darlene Joyce Johnson of Middle Sackville as a result of an armed robbery at a gas station on Sackville Dr.
At approximately 9:15 p.m. Saturday evening, a woman with a knife entered a gas station on Sackville Dr. where she demanded cigarettes and money. The gas station attendant handed over cigarettes and a small amount of cash and the woman left the store on foot. No one was injured.
Johnson appeared in court yesterday where she was remanded into custody and will return to Dartmouth Provincial Court tomorrow.
