Two Gagetown officers have been charged with sex offences.
Captain Simon Duvall faces sexual assault for an alleged incident at the base in December 2010 or January 2011. Sergeant Brent Douglas Hansen faces accessing child pornography, allegedly while on duty in 2014.
The NDP are introducing a bill that would let Nova Scotians submit online petitions to the legislature. Only paper ones are currently accepted at Province House, but party leader Gary Burrill says our system “has to reflect the contemporary ways people communicate”.
