The province has blinked and asked for conciliation in its contract dispute with teachers.
The McNeil government earlier wanted specific terms before it would agree to a concilliation board and then rejected a union call for a mediator. Now it’s willing to sit down with a concilliator.
The union says the conciliation process will not affect its impending job action…but isn’t saying just what it has planned.
