SIRT has released its 2015-16 annual report. The Nova Scotia police watchdog did 26 investigations between April 1st, 2015 and March 31st. Halifax Regional Police were the subject of the most at seven, followed by Cape Breton Regional Police and out-of-province agencies with six each. The RCMP were investigated three times; New Glasgow, Westville, Amherst and Annapolis Royal once each.

Provincial funding for small-scale high-speed internet projects
Provincial funding is being put up for small-scale projects to bring better high-speed Internet to rural areas. Up to $500,000 is available total, with a maximum of $75,000 per project. Applications will be accepted until December 31st at novascotia.ca/business/internet.
