Nova Scotia was the only Atlantic province where the unemployment rate went up last month. We gained 3700 jobs, but Stats Can says we went from 7.6% to 8% unemployment because more people entered the workforce. The province lost full-time jobs, but part-timers went up a lot.

NB Doctor Earnings Not Being Made Public
Health Minister Victor Boudreau says what doctors make won’t be made public for another year. Auditor General Kim MacPherson first recommended it years ago, and says she’s disappointed it’s still not happening. Boudreau told CBC the plan is to have doctor earnings put on “unaudited supplementary employee lists”, aka sunshine or blue book.
