Canada-U.S. border changes being mulled-over

The Obama administration may be a lame duck but it has introduced a bill to simplify border crossings in the U-S Congress.

Both the Harper and Trudeau governments have signed preclearance deals with the Obama administration, but it requires changes to the law and American lawmakers have not made it a priority.

The plan would see travellers headed south to pre-clear customs long before they get to the border.

School attack stopped in Toronto

Toronto police say a tip from the U-S helped thwart an attack on a high school on the anniversary of the Montreal Massacre.

Someone on the U-S west coast saw a threat posted on a blogging site and called police.

They arrested a 17 year old boy after a search of a home Tuesday.

The attack was meant to happen later that day on the 27th anniversary of the Polytechnique shooting.
