Arrests made in illegal moose practices investigation

Six people have been arrested after an investigation into illegal moose practices.  Eight search warrants were executed in the Miramichi and Neguac areas, with moose meat, antlers and meat-cutting equipment seized along with multiple weapons, drugs and more.  Charges will relate to illegal selling and possession.

Refugee group touts how Chester bakery benefitted after rule changes

A Nova Scotia refugee group says Ruwad Al Badin a good example of how Canadians can benefit from refugees.

Al Badin is a specialist in French pastries, which is just the kind of employee that Julien’s bakery in Chester needed after a federal rule change made it harder to import chefs from France.

He is now supporting his family and helping the rural business that had been struggling keep local people employed.
