Mission to Seafarers giving Christmas shoeboxes to sailors away from home
Merchant-ship crew members who weren’t home for Christmas will get some festive cheer when they dock in Halifax.
A group called Mission to Seafarers gives a shoebox full of things to sailors arriving in the port. Many of the over 1500 boxes were handed out yesterday by captains, but hundreds are still being delivered.
