The weather didn’t stop the bargain seekers.
Boxing Day sales were good for many merchants uptown and elsewhere around the city as shoppers lined up to take advantage….although some said prices weren’t much better that what you get on Black Friday or other sales leading up to Christmas.
Electronics, especially big screen TVs, seemed to be the favourite for the door crashers looking for the early deals.
The nasty weather didn’t deter the bargain hunters.
There were lineups outside some stores for the door crasher Boxing Day specials. Electronics at Best Buy drew large crowds. Other stores also reported brisk business…although some shoppers said the deals weren’t really that much better than you get in the lead up to Christmas such as Black Friday. Still for many, Boxing Day shopping sprees have become part of their holiday tradition.
